About the Author: Ajeet Kumar is a Professor in the Dept. of Applied Mechanics at IIT Delhi, India. Prof. Kumar received his PhD from the former Dept. of Theoretical & Applied Mechanics at Cornell University, New York, USA in 2010. Soon after, he joined the Dept. of Aerospace Engineering & Mechanics at University of Minnesota, USA as a Postdoc where he had a two-year stint before joining IIT Delhi as faculty. He has also held visiting Professorship appointments in Germany, France and USA.
