  • ₹ 2,750.00

This is a thought provoking book. It conceptualizes and advocates education for the changing-times. Book examines education in view of the 21st century demands and the knowledge economy. The present education systems greatly suffer from heavy academic learning, convergent thinking, testing and examinations and produce stereotype graduates who are unable to join the world of work due to lack of employable skills. The book presents a skills oriented taxonomy of education which has integrated the cognitive, affective, emotional and psychomotor developments into one classification.

The book proposes a “Themes Based Curriculum” which provides a greater flexibility and variety of learning task to the learner, and in turn facilitates the production of diverse human capital stock to meet the human capital demand of the knowledge economy. Book advocates Authentic Instruction, Learning and Assessment as it is clearly demonstrated that authentic learning enhances the generic skills for the 21st century. Further authentic learning facilitates divergent thinking and tacility in the learning and allows learner to enjoy a meaningful learning environment.
