Butterfly

The memories and experiences, either good or bad, have been with the people we love and cherish, or at least used to. If they are melancholic in nature, we tend to brainwash them away to cleanse our mind and soul. However, a part of me thought that the beauty that is derived from pain alone must be immortalised; penned down on paper and etched into the skin. So, in your hands, you hold the piece of work. I used to trap all my agony in a pulchritudinous manner. It’s well bounded and hopefully well organised, much unlike the incidents that were responsible for this book.

Our book, BUTTERFLY, is named after one of the most charming, fragile and beautiful Mother Nature has gifted us with. The book is quite similar in its nature too. I say “our” book, because if it lays in your hands, it is yours as much as it is mine now. Everyone who has stopped and admired nature for a brief moment knows for a fact that one can only appreciate Butterfly for its beauty and presence but one can’t possess it, trap it or own it without harming it. Though true beauty can’t be trapped; on the contrary, true misery could be. And so I did.

Is the case same with humans as well? Do we act as a Butterfly too? Or we always going to be the horrid creatures who try to trap the butterflies and possess their beauty?

You come across someone whose soul is utterly magnificent and free but you like watching them fly around instead of capturing and claiming them as yours. And what happens thereafter? They fly beyond reach and sight and there is nothing you can do about it except watch and hope they fly back.

The beauty of growth is certain when they nurture themselves along with you, flying where the breeze takes them, where nothing is in your control.

We all have had or will have butterflies in our lives. When you find yours, I hope you don’t just stop and stare but learn how to fly with it too, because it won’t stop for you.
